There was just a brief note on the news this AM of a ..."rock climber plucked from a wall in Yos by a helicopter yeterday. He was at like the 5,000' lever or somthing"
The news here was not very specific, jsut wondered if anyone knew of this...PTPP? They did say it was a male.

Looks liek the second week in a row where there has been a rescue! Was not me!
I liked the funny.. and you never know PTPP may have zippered a whole A5 pitch, even the pros blow it once in a while

So the way I heard the story....this Canuk thought "last time all these wankers drank my one keg, eh? So this time I will lug 2 up there and stash one and they will think I only have one, eh?
So there I was, way the hell up there and these 2 kegs dangeling below, and me not tryign to shake them up When I looked down to throw a sheepish grin at my hottie new big wall partner and then I heard this "POP". Next thing I hear is the blades of this rescue chopper, eh? and this wanker in a bright orange coat with a rescue strecher saying, "hold on there Canada, I will get you" and then I ended up at the bottom the "easy way", and not "the better way.
PTPP and I are good online buddies and I think he will laugh when he sees this, just my way of taking a shot at our most outspoken Canuktian Big Waller

I heard that a climber aided his way over to another route in the middle of the night and ws making out with some chick on a portaledge. Well, the chick's partner woke up and shoved the guy off. He took about a 150 foot whipper and had to be short-hauled off by a chopper the next morning. Nawwww! that couldn't have been Pete!

I heard that he bumbled and dropped his ropes and pig, thus needing to be plucked from the side of The Captain.
Maybe Dr Jumar can help him with the better way to handle ropes.

I think the news here said that the climber had injuries, but didn't mention what type or how bad.

Unless I missed a rescue somewhere in the last day or two, I believe the climber was rescued off of the DNB. This is the word from ranger John Dill. He sustained some severe injuries to his collarbone and shoulder when a very large rockfall caught him squarely. The climbers were near the top of the chimneys.
This would have been last Sunday. We thought that we heard the helicopters out yesterday as well but I haven't caught any word of another rescue.
The rescue on the DNB makes the third that I watched in a 10 day period. Not a nice feeling.

Word has it that the rangers came and plucked the doctor off the wall for his delinquent coffee tab!!!! But alas!!!He had no money so they made him teach a class(big walls 101)to the girls behind the counter at curry,word also has it he gave the ones with a small bust size,private lessons!!!!
