My partner and I managed to get lost on the Slab Wall the day after Thanksgiving. The Atlas is confusing, between the text and the diagrams. We did All I Wanted Was A Pepsi, then moved to the right. From left to right there is a single bolt on Pepsi, then (as I recall) 5 bolts about 20' to the right and 4 more bolts about 10' to the right of these.

We bombed on the 4 to the right, starting from the big broken chunk at the base and moved back to the left to the set of 5. I lead this route onsight, which is at my lead limit.

Later we moved past the small stand of trees and Jimmy tried to lead the overhang with the bolt on its face, then we both bombed out on the bolted route just to the left of the overhang. This one involved several ledges and trees.

Where were we when we sent the lead, and when we were struggling around the trees, please?

Yes. It is a wonderful slab to climb, but I cannot imagine the men running up this road. It beats up my truck.

If you're working from the old Dixie Cragger's Atlas, then your confusion makes sense. The labels on the diagrams are off. Mikey's Mantle is number 5 on the slab wall diagram, and I don't know what the deal is with the rest.

Hopefully, somebody more familiar with Currahee will see this soon. I've only been a couple of times.
