Are there any places to do some short, 15m top roping climes at the red? Or maybe some 15m sport routes that are 5.10a or below?

As in a total of 15m or as in you have a 15m rope? If its the former then the 3 sport routes on the southwest side of Pistol Ridge are good (Danger Mouse, Don't Feed the Tricertops, Chem Studs). http://www.rockclimbing.com/...on.php?SectionID=377 If it's the latter then I think you are out of luck. [edit]I forgot to say that you have to lead them or get someone to hang your rope on them first. [/edit]

I have a 15-20 meter rope, and have no problem leading 10a or so. Thanks for the info.

If you really want to do a good search on climbs in the red according to height, toprope etc etc.... used the advanced search tool on the online guidebook on this site: http://www.redriverclimbing.com You can search by top-ropeable routes, length, difficulty etc. Good luck!

In reply to: I have a 15-20 meter rope, and have no problem leading 10a or so. Thanks for the info. I'm sorry, but something doesn't seem right. Your rope is really only 48-65 feet long, total? And you expect to run a slingshot toprope? I admit I am not familiar with the Red, so I don't know how many 25-foot sub-10a sport climbs there are there, but it sounds like you may just want to buy a real rope, not a gym rope or a glorified tow line, or go with an experienced partner who has an honest to god 50-60m rope.

The rope I have is half of a 50m rope that ended up with a weak spot, so I cut it. I am going to be able to borrow a 50m rope so it turns out to not be a problem and I hope to be able to do some good climbs at the red.
