Sooo have we decided on a date yet? I am really pushing for the 22nd because I have a better chance to go. The 15th is definetly out for me. I have family obligations starting that weekend and the following week. I hope this date works for everyone. If not I totally understand, but I still would be very jealous

Amber,

I think it may still be too soon to spring another climbing trip on my wifey.

Something she said about me and a pair of vice grips.... But, I'll try to sweet-talk her into letting me go play.

And I'm pretty sure that bringing along at least one of the kiddos will be a stipulation she has.

I just saw this and figured I’d jump in also, if that’s ok. Don’t want no one thinking I’m stealing there chalk ball. But maybe we should think of a meeting place this time. Not that some of us didn't meet some real nice people last time, but it kind of defeats the point of a RC get together. But hay that’s just me.

Good call, what can I say I dont like to plan, my wife hates that about me. I just roll with the punches. Besides it was my first time on real rock and I didnt want to make a complete fool out of myself. This time though you tell me where and when and I will be there.

The first day, it might be easy for us all to meet in between Little Rock and Enchanted rock, near the outhouse. (Not in) I would think every one would like to get started early before the routes fill, the triple cracks area might be a good start. I don’t know the level of climbing we are all wanting to do
I don’t know when every one is getting in. More then likely Saturday morning is when I’ll be arriving. I was thinking around ten or so. But it’s all up to Amber, I’m just the heckler in the peanut gallery.
Keep on,
Pulnerth

Oh, so I don't know what it is with people and their weddings...

Just found out last night that I was volunteered to be at a wedding on the afternoon of the 22nd - however, I'll be out at E-Rock climbing - starting around 9:30-ish am.

I'll be heading back to civilization around 3pm though - just a warning (which you'll prolly cheer for

YEAAAA Sauron not going to be there for long Just jokin. Yea weddings are cool and all but dang man they come up at the wrong time huh? Oh well I am sure they have better food not to mention drinks I will make it a point to be there earlier then you so youll have a good amount of time to climb.
And yes the big boulder in the shade by the outhouse sounds like a good place to meet and warm up a little before we hit the real good stuff.

Yay for the heckler's in the peanut gallery! .. and there will be no bounding of the amber on this roadtrip .. i'll have my attack son with me, and he will permit no such actions.

also, thanks to the influence of rrradam, karen, and fiend, i will be tracking down a bop-it and begging for a slackline. oh, and if anyone wants to make me a quad-mocha in the morning, rrradam-style .. i would be a most happy little climber indeed.

okay, now, down to business .... so, who all will be arriving on Friday vs Saturday? If people are arriving on Friday night, then it may be worthwhile to organize a campsite for everyone to meet at as we trickle in. (And watch the message boards at the front this time .. they can be effective when people read the notes.)

Also, it may be worthwhile to set up multiple meeting times/places ... how about a 9:30a and a 2p meeting at the place pulnerth mentioned? That way, if someone is late (read: me), they wont be stuck hiking all day instead of climbing.

Sauron,

I heard that you have a bop-it ... do you think you could trust us with your most precious rc.com toy .. i have lots of bop-it practicing to do, if i'm going to be an avid rc.com user.

Dallas-folk,

Who all is free on Friday. It's my standard night to climb and thought that it would be a good idea if we could meet at a gym and get to know each other a little ... PM if you're interested/available ....

Also, who wants to car pool and what day do you want to leave (Friday night or just before dawn on Sat)? It's about a four hour drive, so we'll have to be on the road around 5a, if we're leaving on Sat, so that we have time to get there, park, and hike in. (If we can all climb together on Friday, we can work out the details then.)

Sauron,
If we camp, do you want to bring the bop-it, some webbing and biners, and the gf to hang for the evening? (Items are listed in order of priority.) and before you get any ideas, the webbing is for a slackline .. I'm addicted. As for a person to be bound, how about the person who asks "are we there yet" first ...

clymbr_chk,

I'll mention it to the girl - but I doubt she's up for it.. Which means I'll be coming out on saturday morning, bright and early... I'll drag the bop-it and the slackline out, though... Grf.

Amber, I would be able to leave on Fri. It would be nice to already be at E-rock on Sat. so we could be semi-rested and ready to start climbing. Can anyone else leave on Fri. In my book the sooner the better

Hey everybody, I have a big tent that I'm going to be bringing so if you want to stay in that let me know. I think it sleeps btwn. 6-8 depending on how cozy you want to get. I'd prefer to stay in the campsites next to the parking lot for a couple reasons.
1. Don't have to carry in all that equipment (tent, food, sleeping bags etc...)
2. I've heard of some awesome bouldering problems really close to those campsites.
3. Showers, so we all don't stink too bad.
4. Overall convience of being closer to the car. That way if you want to go into town for dinner one night you don't have a couple mile hike back on a full stomach in the dark.
Just putting in my 2 cents, Mo.

Would anybody object to me bringing my pup instead of my partner???
No worries I will clean up after her and if she’s bugging anybody we will jet out the only thing I might ask is to watch her while I am on the rock.
