I'd like to invite you all (and anyone you may know who'd be interested) to join in participating in a freedom of expression web site: http://www.theunboundmind.net

Currently, there is only the basic framework (title, and navigation bar), except for the statement of what it's about, which is included below. Once we get content, we will begin putting it up. (If by some chance you get a this domain is parked page, or your email doesn't go through, please try again soon. We are having some technical difficulties with our startup. The site was running, but now it's not). Anyway, here's the deal:

Our mission is to host a space for the expression of free thinkers who desire to make a positive impact on the world community. This space is created by the thinkers; for the thinkers, as an exercise of our First Amendment Rights.

We are open to suggestions on what you would like to see as part of The Unbound Mind. Currently, the content of The Unbound Mind will include:
• 2 Dimensional Art/Photography
• 3 Dimensional Art
• Animation (under 10 min)
• Articles on Art, Literature, Philosophy, and Well Being
• Book Reviews
• Films (under 10 min)
• Forum (for mindful discussions)
• Poetry
• Short Stories (under 10,000 words)
• The Unbound Mind Community News and Events
And lastly, but most unavoidably (damn commercialism):
• The Unbound Mind Store
• Sponsor Advertising

Anyone who would like to contribute to the site should email: submissions@theunboundmind.net. Please send poetry, short stories, articles, book and movie reviews as Word documents. 2D and 3D Art should be sent as .jpg files. If you would like these images to be printed in our annual books, please send 300 dpi images. For animation and short films, please send .fla or .swf files. For all submissions, please include any contact information that you would like listed with the work, as well as an artist statement. We strive to promote your ideas and share them with the world; commission free. Additionally, anonymous works, or works submitted under pseudonyms are also welcome. Please let us know your preference.

All submissions and suggestions will be considered. Please be aware that the content of The Unbound Mind must not violate the mission of creating a positive impact. Therefore, we do reserve the right to reject submissions of a violent or pornographic nature.

In sending us a submission, you are agreeing to give us the rights to publish your material on this web site and in our yearly printed publications. If we desire to use your submission beyond this agreement, we will contact you for negotiation of use terms. Please keep in mind that what other visitors of The Unbound Mind may do with your submission is beyond our control.

To advertise at the The Unbound Mind:
Please send inquiries to advertise@theunboundmind.net.

A final legal note: the content of this site does not necessarily reflect the opinions or beliefs of the creators of The Unbound Mind or it’s Sponsors.

Anyone have a climbing related short story, movie, or animation they'd like to share? How about some poetry about how much you love to climb, or using climbing as a metphor? Paintings and photographs of climbing?

No, I'm not a random spammer. I love art and I climb (well, usually I boulder)...and I'd love to have some climbing related stuff on the site.
