There is a site you can sign up (Ebates.com) for that gives you a certain percentage of all your purchases back in rebate checks. This works for a bunch of online retailers, including REI, Altrec, and others. The discounts aren't huge, but it's still nice to get some back. http://www.ebates.com/affiliate_landing.jsp?promotion_code=REF1&eeid=13840&banner=9710&referrer=blake@westcoastmail.com&refpageid=1

In reply to: Theres a free program, produced by NASA, that has all the aerial photoquads as well as topographical maps for the entire country. It's slow, and it has to download all the maps one by one, but there are some great features on there for the outdoorsman and great for trip planning. http://learn.arc.nasa.gov/worldwind/ Thanks for the link, Although their topo overlay needs some work http://learn.arc.nasa.gov/...s/screenshots/24.jpg Check how the topo is stretched and does not match the actual peak of half dome...

In reply to: Check how the topo is stretched and does not match the actual peak of half dome... It looks like the vertical exaggeration was was set at 2x, if you pull up the topos at 1x exaggeration everything matches up a lot better.

Hey all, Taking a cue from vegas trad guy, I too have some camalots for sale. They are presently on e-bay and quite cheap at the moment. So if you're looking for some camalots, buy both vegastradguy's and mine. Their all in good-to excellent condition (the larger ones are in the best conditions because they don't get used as much), have smooth actions, have not been dropped. I'm getting some C4's which is why they are up for sale. I think there is four days left on the sale. Cheers, SH .5 camalot cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll .75 camalot cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll 1 camalot cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll 1 camalot cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll 2 camalot cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll 2 camalot cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll 2 camalot cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll 3 camalot cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll 3 camalot cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll 3.5 camalot cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll 4 camalot cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
