I'm thinking of doing an ascent of the north ridge of mt sneffels in late march/early april. that should be a good time to do a winterish ascent and have a relatively stable snowpack. the ridge goes at 5.6 i believe. if someone has hands on info i'd like to hear. i've got copies of the cmc's trail and timberline articles from a few decades ago when it was first done and the info from Rosenbaugh's Falcon series guidebook of the San Juans. Don't have too many specifics yet. not sure what access is gonna be like. sounds like it will require a night out (no car to car this time). i'm also contemplating a ski descent, but that depends on the snow conditions at the time. if interested, lets talk.
