Rather than sticking with the mundane and materialistic pandering of chocolates and roses, have you considered reviving the time-honored tradition of a good ole bloody massacre..?

This Valentine's Day will be my first as a married woman. We are hanging out with our single friends and NOT doing anything stupid having to do with flowers or candy. I decided last week that I do not want my husband to buy crap because a date on the calendar says he has to. (plus, i can think of better stuff to spend MY money on!) so we said screw it. We decided to celebrate the day by being extra sweet to eachother and focusing on why we love eachother and our families and friends. Now doesn't that give you a warm fuzzy feeling?

I'm bummed 'cuz my paycheck might not be here until monday, which completely kills my climbing plans for the weekend. I might have to spend the weekend with the girlfriend, which is bad because the last time i hit any real rock was weeks ago, and more epic than I really cared for. And I still need a plan for climbing on V-Day, just to keep with the tradition. Could be worse. I was chatting with an ex the other day. She's a little bitter that she's single for Valentines day (again) but won't admit as much. Last year I had the option of spending v-day alone or go hang out with her, her mother, and another one of her exes. I didn't really want her shooting herself afterwards, so I stayed home. Here's to pain, suffering and scars that you don't notice for hours (and none of those will I get from women this time mind you).
