More Info:
Actively recruiting crew/alternate skippers to sail a small cartoppable boat, in return for helping to load and launch the boat... a simple process made easier by the construction of a dolly. No sailing experience required, one learns fast aboard the DK Fish. Ideally, I locate a climber (or climbers) interested in sailing to the islands, where there is heller climbing if you know where to look. Old school local with extensive knowledge of San Diego climbing venues, as well as unmatched knowledge of climbing opportunities on the islands. All island voyages are stealth voyages, with light discipline in effect at night. No worries, I'm already partying like a rock star at the island summit of my choice before darkness falls, and I often bivouac at island summits under a full moon, so illumination isn't really an issue... finding the goddam lighter to spark a fresh bowl poses more of a problem. Enough said, looking for long-term assistance with this sailing and climbing gig, the last reliable hand moved to Indonesia a while back, and I'm still looking for people who can handle saltwater action as well as rock. I also intend to pull another Salton Expedition this winter, camping near Borrego and sailing the Salton Sea, this time running the length of that "Toxic Lake" (LOL---a little known and unappreciated jewel in the desert), from the northwestern end to the southernmost tip, sailing right down the center of that bad boy.
