Balancing a demanding job on the coast is rough, but getting out on the rock is worth every minute of the long drive to the mountains. I started on long trad routes, and progressed into the finer, more specialized areas, and enjoy each of them for what they are. each of them, sport, bouldering, even gym climbing present a new way to think about doing what I love. To me, climbing is a welcome challenge to the mind and body, the greatest puzzle to solve, because you can't rely on anyone else. You either climb, or you don't.
When not insanely busy working as a contractor, I try to get out to Colorado every few months to visit The Fam when not sneaking in a little surfing on the side in the summer. Dang, man..... So much to do, so little time....
Climbing, spending time with people and loving God. That's me, I guess.

If you are headed to the NC coast, look me up. There ain't much climbing here, but hey! There's always surf somewhere, and I've got extra boards. If you need a place to crash, just lemme know. We've got sofas.
I'll follow anyone up anything, provided you're an attentive belayer, and as long as I can use a jumar, I'll follow any aid!
