7 bucks well spent
Review by: stingray84, 2012-02-02
Hey for 7 bucks it's worth it. I own two - one for the house and one for the car - It fits over the shift knob and its always there when i'm stuck in traffic. In the house watching tv and just doing 100 reps on it a couple times a night and my forearms are looking kinda Popeye'd. Okay maybe not quite Popeye, I'll admit, but there is a significant increase in my forearm muscle and I could tell a difference at the gym after two weeks of it. Like I said, for 7 bucks its worth it.
Cheap and does what it's suppose to

I like mine, it does smell a little off. However its small and there when you need it.

Got this as a freebie from a retailer. And I'm glad for that. This is one of those things that looks (and smells) like some kind of industrial byproduct, but Metolius slapped their name on it and sells it for $5. It's okay for general forearm/hand conditioning, but it's extremely gimmicky, non-climbing-specific, and overpriced even at $5. I think Metolius cheapens their good name by selling this. However, it is a nice stress reliever in the office, much better than a spring grip, Gripmaster, or racquetball. I also like it more than the Powerball (gyro ball) due to simplicity.

I bought this because it was cheap. I keep it in my car and hit it up 2-3 times a day on the commute. It's still holding up well after 6 months of temperature fluctuation in the car (works great with gloves). I like it because you get more variety than with a ball and more focus on the two middle fingers than with a spring grip. Makes your hands smell like rubber.

Yeah, I play with it for a couple of hours while watching a movie, or reading. I found it helped me at first, but now, not really. Whatever, I'm sure it's doing something though.
Good for warming up for those harder lines.
