Description

HB's Flexi Fix offers a single-stemmed camming unit of good quality at a good price, with the added bonus of reverse cam strength. Cam sizes are similar to Friends. A Bargain! Designed for the climber who prefers a single stem device, the Flexi-Fix stem is made from flexible stainless steel cable protected from damage by a colour coded nylon tube. The end fittings are forged in titanium for lightness and strength, the thumb piece being conveniently shaped to avoid slipping. All sizes of Flexi-Fix have 'Reverse Strength.' This means that they will function as passive nuts if they should walk into a wider part of the crack. The thumb piece at the base of the stem is ergonomically shaped giving you precise control.

The only nice thing you can say is that they are cheap. If you want a cheap cam then look for a sale or get a rock empire rather then these. That said they are CE tested so should do the job.

I have one, and I don't like it. It's comparably heavy, and the range sucks.

I second forkliftdaddy on the forged. I offed my flexifit 2.5, 3 and 4 and replaced them with forged friends. Far superior units, especially for durability. I find the springs to be of quite variable quality in the flexifits, with some banging back into place and some uninspringly creeping back.

The flexifits are very good value and i am particularly good mates with the 1.5 and the 2. Both of which have caught me.

only okay. i recommend that you buy forged friends instead and tie them off through the stem. the smaller sizes worked okay for me, but the larger sizes are less than inspiring. thumb catch is turned funky and that makes them harder to place. springs are weak. i never felt like i could fall on them.

Wires get snagged a bit but nothing that can not be handled. They pull ok, and have good individuak lobe camming ability. Cheap, so they get another point in my book. Good alternative for a few other expensive products, good all around
