Review 3 out of 5 stars

Maybe it's me, but I don't find it that good. The curves allow it to cam well, but that is at the expense of the range--it either fits precisely or doesn't fit at all. And I don't see why the shortest side is curved outwards: that also helps reduce the range. In fact, I have never been able to place one in the "other" orientation using the shortest side and the opposite one. The WC version has the short side curved inwards thus exposing two edges instead of one long thin round face, which, I suppose, would truly give it two options for placement. But having said that, I admit that I almost always find a placement for the only hex I own (#6 sent by mistake instead of nut #6).

I have 1 and a half sets of these (doubled up on the larger ones). Best hexes ever! They have a great 'camming' action. Although I do find the smaller sizes quite useless unless you have a perfect 'slot' to place them in. Would throughly reccommend the a double set of 5-10's to anyone. Again a slung version would be great too.

Work well, the wires make them easier to place than slung hexes, not as noisy as Wild Country, cheap. I have sizes 6-10 hexes and they're great.

Curved design is awesome, but the cut of the open ends are a bit severe.

Definately my least used pieces of pro. I have the full set and if I were able to purchase them again I would either not get them and instead double up on my Tricams or get the WC on Dyneema. Though, they place well enough, the wire gets in the way and frequently makes good placements more difficult and tiring to get. I think the curved design is great, able to fit the crystaline and varied rock surfaces I climb on better than the traditional straight faced hex's by BD. Perhaps if they were available on webbing I would like them more but for know I much perfer my Tricams.
