I had a Aurora but now I have a Tikka plus.
when my Tikka plus stands in the second brightness level it has more light than my old one in the brightest level

I love my tikka plus. It is light weight and sits well so is great for night bouldering. The strobe-setting is excellent for riding a bike through the city at night. Works well in all camping situations. The only problem is the lack of power regulation, which means that the light slowly dims and for the last half of the battery life the torch is operating at less than 50% brightness. This doesn't bother me too much, I have had mine for over 6months, I use it everyday, and am still only on the 3rd set of batteries.

Bought this lamp after an epic in Mascarat Gorge, where we finished the last 3 pitches of Via Ubsa in the dark, and had to get off the mountain. My partner had one and every time he looked at me to see I was ok, I lost my dark adaption. I was using the original Tikka, which was already pretty good. The new model outshines every other LED torch I have seen.
