good and simple 5 out of 5 stars

the good thing about steel rings is that they take abuse very well; after hundreds of folks have rapped off this ring, it'll still be just fine; but yes they are heavier; but great for permanent rap anchors; now only if folks could do better than use a million different strands of ratty webbing through these in j-tree : ) ..............i like chains

No fear rap 5 out of 5 stars

This is a tremendously strong rap ring at 50kn, or about twice the strength of an average carabiner. Doubling up when using these seems ridiculous, as I'm quite certain that a rope (which is generally not used in a redundant manner) would break before this ring 99.99999999% of the time. They're also not very shiny, which makes them less conspicuous on the crag...just don't rig 'em with your pink webbing.

A good tool to have on your rack. i'm always finding it good to have while rigging a belay station or setting up top ropes.

I buy them because they feel bomber compared to the aluminum rings. I've left a few at the base of trees so if you see one it's mine. I use only one instead of two like everyone else.

I agree with tech_dog on the strong part and only needing one, these things are indestructable in my mind.
