Alchemy Jacket 3 out of 5 stars

I might also have an older version, burnt orange and grey. the windstopper panels work very well but the polartec panels let wind blow right through for a jacket designed for alpine climbing you would think that your arms would be better protected as well as the sides of your torso seeing as you are constantly reaching over your head and cold air is blowing on your armpits. other than that the sleeves are tight on the forearms not much room for a long sleeve shirt underneath works with a t-shirt though and is plenty warm down to 30 or 40 with a rain shell on over top. the front and back panel are very durable i've had this jacket sine 2004 and have been pretty abusive and the panels show minimal wear the polartec panels have holes inthem from snags bushwacking and draggin it over rocks so 4years old i still wear it and 180 dollars not a bad deal arcteryx might be a better choice and might last longer but you'll pay another hundred bucks

Not sure if i have an older version.....i bought an orange/grey one in May this year. It is a pretty sweet package and definitely the thing for summer alpine wear....not sure how it would go in winter....might just need to layer up a bit more. The main thing i don't like is the sleeves....they are really tight at the cuff which can make it a bit hard to regulate your temp....the whole point of a s. shell.
