Frick'n awesome. The light wieght, strong and smooth. I love the key lock style, theres no snagging on bolts or ropes. They'er a bit pricy compared to other draws but it worth it. I wish I had discovered em sooner.

Easy to clip into. They are really easy for a follower because that annoying notch isn't in the way, for the rope to get caught on. They are also very strong, making them good to leave on a hard route you are working! I used to have the ultra light Wild Country Heliums, but they were very 'messy' to clip into, and the runners would always twist on me. With the Spirits, the thick sling is nice because the draw won't twist! All in all these are the best draw ever, if you are looking at buying new quickdraws, these are the ones you want!

Simply the best. I will not purchase a cheap ass carabiner to save my life. It is worth spending the xtra few bucks to know the gear you purchase is safe and tested properley.
I like your old stuff better than your new stuff.

These used to be my favorite solid gate quickdraw (a prize which now belongs to the DMM Shadow) but in ~2005 they revised the design of the spring inside the gate and the action on new ones lacks the subtle finesse of the earlier models and that was really what made them special. You can identify the new spirits by the flat hourglass shaped plate visible through the back of the gate near the hinge, old spirits have a conical wedge. Still a fundamentally sound design, just not the wonderful things they once were and they've fallen behind in the weight stakes.

Hands down the best I've used. I'ved tried the wire gates and yeah they work nice but these are just better to me. Super smooth, easy to clean, and you only have to buy them once so don't worry so much about the price.
