All-around 5 out of 5 stars

This light is the BEST. I have used quite a few headlamps in my assorted travel and this is my favorite. Whether its changing a tire on the side of the road in the rain, riding out a hurricane (the perfect lamp for cooking, reading, and partying), or hiking out of where ever you are in the dark. It is tremendously versatile and reliable.

Myo XP 5 out of 5 stars

In interest of full disclosure it needs to be mentioned that I only paid 15 dollars for my Myo Xp. I seriously lucked out at the REI used gear sale. It even came with fresh batteries. That being said even if I had to pay the eighty dollars a lot of vendors are asking for this lamp i would still think it well worth it. Compared to other lamps it feels really great on the head, the candlepower is pretty astounding, and battery life is great.

I love this headlamp, I've used mine in many remote places around the world, in hot, cold, and/or wet environments. The battery life is excellent and the battery indicator is a handy feature. I have owned my XP for about a year now and it has held up better then any other lamp I have ever had. The brightness is amazing also. Do yourself a favor and get this lamp.

Probably the reason you are reading this review is because you are one of those persons who likes to "do things right". Well, this headlamp is an example of just that. So I walk into my local sport store planning on buying Black Diamond's new Vectra IQ hybrid lamp, however since they didn't carry it yet, I wound up purchasing this Myp XP. Now, if you are looking for a headlamp that is totally awesome for like jogging/running, this lamp is your ticket. As a owner of such a headlamp like Tacttikka Plus, this Myo XP completely blows it away in brightness and still get just as good battery life(LED 2 rocks). Do yourself a favor, just spend the extra like $20/$30 and get something that does it right than rather a bunch limited-distance LEDs. This Myo Xp's had 2 beams, a focused beam that gets some really good distance(maybe not as good distance than like a xenon or halogon bulb that drains batteries and lasts a few hours, but LED 2 gets condiderable more battery life, though not as bright) and the other beam (with a flip cover) to expand the light. In summery, just spend the extra money, you'll get some awesome light strenght, awesome battery life in a light compact headlamp.

This thing is flat out amazing for an LED. It blows away other headlamps, including my previous favorite - the BD Zenix IQ. Granted, it's not as light or compact, when you really need to throw a beam, but still want the reliability and battery life of an LED light, this headlamp is the ticket. The diffuser works really well, and the burst mode is fantastic for those occasions when you need just a little extra range. Of course it comes with petzl's excellent quality of construction. The price tag is a bit hefty at $70, but the light is truly a one-of-a-kind.
