very comfortable 4 out of 5 stars

This is easily the most comfortable of the 4 or 5 harnesses Ive tried. Hanging belays are no problem. Its also very adjustable which is great for people like me whose leg size changes with the ski season. My only gripe would be with the gear loops which I feel lay a bit too flat, are a touch too floppy, and are set a little too far around the back. This has only been an issue on sport routes at my limit where I would like to grab a quickdraw without looking or thinking about it. Overall very nice, comfortable and versatile.

I love this harness. I was used to a simple strap rental that was terribly painful even during rappelling so this was a godsend. The padding on this harness is thick but not obtrusive. Very comfortable. I also love the adjustabilty. The dual waist buckles makes for a perfect fit. Plus tucking away the extra strap lengths is eased by a few bungee straps. Great price too!

Overall: A+ Harness

Gear Loops 3 out of 5 stars

This harness would get a 5 from me for it's comfort and ease of use, but it has one serious flaw, the gear loops. They are well placed and large enough, but by placing the fabric part on the outside, with a plastic stiffener within they are vulnerable. I like to climb in the Creek, and naturally do many corner lay-backs there. Doing this you tend to rub the side of your harness against the rock, and this friction ripped through the right gear loop. It later broke, fortunately not while I was climbing. I love the harness, but I can't trust it on trad routes anymore, especially long ones.

I bought this harness because it is so adjustable. It turned out to be extremely comfortable as well. Gear loops are in a good spot. It can be difficult to tighten, but it is usually because the webbing is at an angle on your hip going into the buckle. At any rate I have had much more trouble with single buckle systems and it is not a big enough problem that I would even take it into consideration unless there were two harnesses that were otherwise completely equal.

is ok 3 out of 5 stars
