Great 5 out of 5 stars

Review by: CCSRacer, 2009-11-29

Only climbed in them twice, but great so far. The fit for my low volume feet is perfect! Though I'm wearing a 41.5/8.5 instead of my normal 10 - 10.5 street shoe and a 45 in the LS Mantis. I'll update after a while.

comfy climbing shoe 5 out of 5 stars

This is my first pair of climbing shoes. I wear a size 7.5 street shoe, bought a 5.5 in this shoe. It was super snug to start with, but after climbing about 3 times a week for 3 weeks I can wear them for hours. I am still learning footwork, but have no problem edging, smearing, or heel hooking once I got past the user error. Great all around, or beginner shoe. Highly recommended. Oh, btw, I have the women's Nago that are blue, so have not had the problem with red toes : )

Great shoes, really comfortable and covers all your bases! 5 out of 5 stars

Pro's: Really comfortable, cover pretty much all your bases in terms of technique, and great price regularly $90 at ems
Con's: turn your toes red

These were my first pair of shoes and they are seriously comfortable shoes, I wear them at the gym for hours at a time, walk between bouldering routes, up and down stairs, everything..and no foot pain.

The fit is really nice for me, my feet are slightly on the narrow side in the heel area about average in the arch and toe box. I usually wear a size 9D US street, I sized down to a 40 (7.5 US) and it feels great. Wraps around my foot very well snug like a well fit glove. I do get some knuckling in my three middle toes, particularly the ring toe since its a little longer, and after 2 months the shoe has stretched out a little such that my heel isn't completely suctioned into the heelcup like it was initially and I get some suction cup noises when i walk up and down stairs and even sometimes when i drop off from a bouldering route and land on the crash pad but I still get that nice swoosh sound when i pull them on.

Performance has been great despite the shoes stretching a little the heel works very well. I heel hook a lot and it never lets me down. The shoe is pretty flexible which makes smearing easier but they are still pretty good when it comes to edging, particularly with the inside portion of the foot. I've had some trouble with outside edging and the weakest point for me thus far has been getting my toe pointed down on smaller holds which may be a function of the shoe not being that stiff. Also, poor edging and smearing technique when I first started using these shoes may play a factor.

Overall the rubber has held up well. I climb regularly, atleast once a week over the last 2 months+ and a lot of times twice a week for 2 1/2 hr gym sessions. I still have a lot of rubber left with the only noticable thing the slight rounding of my edges. I clean my shoes after almost every session and the rubber has stayed nice and sticky.

Great lace-up 4 out of 5 stars

I went into the store looking for the 5.10 anasazis, didn't have them, so I tried on a whole bunch of others. When I put these on, I found them to be exactly what I was looking for. These are a very sturdy shoe, perfect for edges and hooking tiny features. The rubber is not as sticky as my previous shoes, (5.10 Moccasyms) which is my only real complaint. I ended up buying 2 sizes smaller and am just getting them molded to my feet. They've become very comfortable in the 3 weeks I have had them. I reccomend them to most people looking for an all-around lace-up, as I was, it's a very good general shoe.

Wonderfull all day shoes! 5 out of 5 stars

Review by: CarrieKehn, 2008-05-20

i've only owned them for a couple weeks, but i absolutely love it! i can wear them all day and not think about them once. they are the most comfortable climbing shoe i have owned or tried on. more comfortable than most of my everyday non-climbing shoes. i litarally forget they're on!
the rubber is great, it grips everything. great for smearing and super tiny features. so far they seem very durable, but i haven't had them long enough to truely know. the air holes on the sides work great, and help a lot. the only complaints i have so far is that they sometimes make a suction noice/feel when walking. seems like its due to the ventilation holes doing their job. the other complaint is that they turn my feet red from the dyes, but thats nothing new with climbing shoes...
since those are my only complaints i definately give this shoe 5 stars!
