Lightweight and comfortable 5 out of 5 stars

Review by: mugbot, 2007-06-03

I've been using one of these for a couple of months now, and can't complain. It's certainly saved me a few good bumps.
The outer skin withstands more than I would have expected for such a thin shell.

I bought this helmet because it was reccomended by a good friend.I hate wearing a helmet but with this one I sometimes forget I have it on..Does not breathe as well as they would like to think.I love its low profile design.Another thing thats great about it is that its one size fits all so when the kids forget to bring theirs a bit of adjusting and they have a helmet.

gets the job done 4 out of 5 stars

I don't use this helmet for climbing. I use it for caving mostly.
I don't like the headlamp keeper directly in the back, it causes the battery pack on my petzl myo3 to be cocked to one side and compensate with the straps. Other than that, i like it's low profile and how you can look up (or forward while crawling) and see where you're going... i.e... there isn't a huge bill or lip on the front. Also, it's great for caving because there aren't any holes or slots for pointy rocks to get through. I've tried a couple of other helmets from other brands and this is probably my favorite so far. The price is nice too.

Undercut Cliff to the HEAD! 5 out of 5 stars

Review by: suilenroc, 2007-05-05

While belaying my bud, paul, at the Red River Gorge, Roadside... Paul was trying to clip the 5th bolt on A.W.O.L. when he dropped the rope, next thing i new paul was yelling FALLLLLINGGGG. Then as the line became taut i found myself sucked up under the cliff that i was belaying next to. WHACK!!!! My helmet (half dome) stopped the fall. A few people watching said "funny, i never thought about wearing a helmet while belaying, good thing you did."

I always make an effort to strap on my helmet before i belay. My experience at the Red made me glade that i spent that extra buck and got a great helmet!

watch for rust on chin strap rivets 2 out of 5 stars

Ive replaced (free) this helmet 4 times due to rusted out rivets connecting the chinstrap to the helmet (in the back). I liked the way this helmet wore so I put up with it, but finally I just switched out for a Petzl Elios. Cant believe they havent fixed this after so many years
