I am new to climbing, however I do have (2) of these. I chose to go with the Non-Auto Locking versions, because I don't like how people who have auto locking just assume that it's locked, and do not double check.

These carabiners are HUGE, which is something that I like. When working with them, they fit in my hand great, and they are extremely light weight. I use a Black Diamond ATC belay device, and I also sometimes use a Petzl Grigri. No matter which belay device I am in the mood for, these carabiners work great.

I also have to say that I love the color. These things are awesome, and I hope to buy more of them soon.

I really like this peice. The sidways opening gate is a great design!

As so many others have already pointed out, this thing is great for belaying and rapping. A bit on the heavy side for general purpose use. I would recommend one per rack! It is my favorite belay biner.

Like it, first locker I ever purchased and I feel it outperforms all the BD lockers I have. I like how it opens sideways to make a larger opening.
