Review 4 out of 5 stars

Even though they're not being made anymore, still worth it you can dig some up through here or EBay.
Softer aluminium, so the piece really bites well into the rock. Good sizing as well, so placements are relatively easy. Especially when tied in with their color sizing (once you know what's what). And, in contrast to what was said earlier, I find the smaller sizes very useful (I actually doubled up on #2 and #3). Of course, the area (Devil's Lake, WI quartzite) I climb typically consists of smaller placements to begin with.
Only real negative to these pieces, for me, would be the wires. Not very stiff, making reachy or tight placements semi-difficult. Would be a bit better if they were just a bit stiffer.

Super pro. Originally mfg'd by Omega Pacific. REI bought the last of the run... Wish I could find the ones I couldn't buy from them. Omega Pac says they're history (no mo')... =:o) The small sizes (contrary to some opinions) are useful for aiding, or... build an equalized nest of them... Not the best, but better than nothing!

These are pretty much like the ABC Huevos if not the same (I haven't yet seen the huevos but thats what i heard). Its a good solid nut. Anodizing makes them easy to identify. Also has numbers and smily faces on #4-13. I bought them as a complete set and didn't realize that 1-3 were a waste of money. So if you buy from REI don't bother with the first three. All in all a solid nut that i can recommend to others.

At first I was a bit leary at the price, but after taking a couple falls on them and using them regulary, I know they hold and they are durable. I have yet to have a problem with them or see them as inferior to other nuts. In the future I plan on replaceing/adding just these to my rack. The only downer is that the face on the nut begins to scrape off and it is just depressing when your nut doesn't smile back at you.

As far as I can tell, just the same as the ABC Huevos and the BD stoppers. Got a mixed set on ebay, and they work just swell, and the price is right.
