Decent biner 4 out of 5 stars

Not a bad overall biner, fairly light weight but as previously mentioned the screw can get gummed up sometimes. I use my mainly in the gym to anchor my girlfriend in when she belays me. Too small for belaying but they weren't really made for that anyways.

Cant say enough about how great this thing is as a belay Carb. Massive gate opening, not too heavy, very smooth on belaying.

Great basic harness 4 out of 5 stars

Took a chance on this harness because it was on sale for 25$ It is every bit comprable to the Mad Rock Mars harness. Comfortable, the gear loops are little on the floppy side under gear load, and I dont think I would want to hang in it all day, say in multi pitch climbs, but for indoor, sport climbing, or for a beginners harness. Overall I would recommend it.

Great starter shoe, comfortable 4 out of 5 stars

Review by: QSNelson, 2008-05-11

This was my first shoe and I got it because I was told it was a great all around shoe with all day comfort. It delivered and almost all of that. They fit was great, although even though its a synthetic upper it did stretch a very small bit, less then 1/2 a size. The liner while comfortable does tend to hold foot funk better then the average shoe. The rubber while not great is perfectly fine for a beginner. They smear well but hardcore edging does seem to be there weak point. They've held up to my rookie foot work so far so durability doesnt seem to be an issue. Overall I think its a great beginner or all day shoe but if your lookinf for something in the technical catagory then you may need to look else where. I will be re-soling for gym shoes. Would recommend.

EDIT: Make sure to downsize if you plan on heal hooking, im finding that mine are poping off when i go for big hooks
