When the cinch first came out i was rather skeptical. However, as time wore on i heard more good news about it an eventualy tried it. It does have pros and cons but the pros are few. The only good thing about it is the ease for feed slack on lead, after that its all down hill. Its a royal pain to lower your climber, the lever is too short. This leads to serious problems if you need to rapell with it. Weight and bulkiness is somthing I will take as long as it functions. The cinch does none of these terribly well. The worst thing about is the fact that if loaded backwards, your screwed.

Amazing. thats the best way to describe this book. i always end up reading it during the summer. just a harrowing tale. it chills you to your very core. krakauer is an amazing author and he should have won a pulitzer for this. great details and smooth flowing story. its just impossible to put down. his other books are just as equally amazing (try Eiger Dreams) but i would definatley recomend this book to anyone who has any intrest in mountaineering

i bought this because i skimped out on the metolius board. if your going to get a board, spend the extra 10-15 bucks and get a metoulius. this one is ok, but it does get dirty easily and has only so many options whereas the metolius has tons of diffrent options for its use. but overall, it works, just really consdier a metolius

awsome shoe! perfect for almost any kind of climbing. buy em snug cause they will stretch. the toe is great for sliding into pockets on stepping on lil nubins. ive gone throgh one pair an bought a second. but a great intermediate shoe

Awsome pack. just what you expect from gregory. good solid performance. a pack you can wear around all day and never get too uncomfortable. the mesh interior of the back pocket is convienient so you dont have to take stuff out from the top just to get somthing out. its a little pricy, i actualy got a big discount on mine, but so is every gregory. good size for a week or two in the wild!
