I have the newest version (post recall). these are great and versatile crampons. I have grown to like the sidelock having used it on the dart - no problems! Antiballing plates work well. nice frontpoint configuration.

I bought these before the 06/07 ice season and used them drytooling before I got on ice. They worked well drytooling, but you REALLY have to strap them tight to get the heel to stay locked down....on my superalpinistas it was this way, anyhow. I finally got to try them on ice and they are terrific. They feel really solid frontpointing. The sidelock system is finicky and take some time to get adjusted, but aside from all these things they climb ice so well I have to give them a 5/5. If you can, cover up the heel spur with a piece of tape/silicone hose if you aren't using them on ice as they catch the rope, slings, your butt, etc.

I've got to place these on most of the climbs I've got on and they are terrific. They don't have quite the versatility of the 360 regarding placement in tight spots, but they still have a small platform. I like them much better than BD's Turbo express. They rack nicely, too. as tallnik said, "what's not to like?" OH, they're cheap, too!

got it last year and started belaying on drytool routes with it this year. feeding EXCELLENT - much smoother than a gri gri. it locks off great, too. I've belayed a second with it with ease. One gripe is releasing after a larger fall, but it's easy enough to give it a 5/5. I'm happy with it. If the new cinch improves on this that is excellent!

they do rack well, as Jimdavis stated, but after that, i'd rather have 360's for every reason. Or even Grivel Helix screws.
