This is the ultimate carabiner, except for one thing. It is kind of hard to clip. When the gate turns into a ball at the end, the two wires are no longer parallel, which means there is no flat surface to clip into, unlike most other wiregates. It still isn't hard to clip, but its a bit more difficult than with traditional wiregates. Other than this small flaw, the Wirelock is excellent. Its really light, no notch on the nose, the wire gate minimizes gate flutter and it looks pretty cool as well. One other small problem is that the bottom is not very wide, so its hard to get a regular size sling to fit nicely in it. DMM sells its own thin dyneema slings to go with it if you are interested. The wirelock is the most expensive carabiner at MEC, but its probably worth it.

This has got to be one of the easiest to clip quickdraws on the market. The bent gate especially, has a huge gate opening. The only real negative is the weight, as they are pretty heavy. They also don't have the notchless nose like Petzl Spirites. Great value, I got mine for around $17 CDN at MEC. The Eclipses are quite strong too, especially with the gate open (compared to other biners). If you have the money, I would go with Spirits, Positrons, Wirelocks or Hotwires but the Eclipse is a great mid-range quickdraw.

I bought my moonlight a few months ago and so far I really like it. Its light enough that I can take it anywhere, and the 4 led's are surprisingly bright. I love the long battery life. I have used mine for probably 20 hours and there is no decline in performance. I've used it in the cold, and it seems to perform well. The moonlight seems pretty durable. I was also looking at getting the Petzl Tikka, but this one has one more led, and seems a little more useful. It's kind of pricey, but not bad compared to other headlamps. I got it for $40 CDN at Mountain Equipment Co-op.
