I am very impressed with the quality and design of Lowe Alpine packs yet again. The contour 3 will be a great addition to my outdoor equipment. From its very ergonomic design and comfort through ajustment this pack is great for a long day of climbing or a number of days backpacking. It even has a water bladder pocket inside. I would recomend Lowe Alpine packs to anyone after having purchased a couple of them since i was a kid.

Awesome for camping or backpacking alike. I have had the same one for 11 years now and its still going strong like it was brand new. They are very durable and abrasion resistent. I have used mine in the winter as well as all other seasons. a Thermarest will keep you warmer in the cold than a regualar pad will as well. The figure that i have read is that it keeps you 10 degrees warmer than what your sleeping bag rating is with a nromal pad. After sleeping on the snow at 9,000 ft and -40 degrees F with mine I believe them.

Great quickdraws. Very solid and lightweight. I also like the keynose gate closure. That way the open gates don't catch on things. I would recomend them to any climber.

Great runners. Very very light weight and strong as well. The small size may worry those used to larger sized runners...but so far i have been pleased with my purchase.

Great water resevoir. Very durable. I have a lowe alpine pack with water bladder pocket for a 2 liter resevoir. The big zip 3 however is the same shape as a 2 liter bladder except taller. So it just sticks out the top of the pocket by a couple inches and i have 3 liters of water instead of 2. At first i was weaty about the zip lock opening but after a couple of months of climbing and trhowing my pack around it has yet to open when i didn't want it to.
