An irritating necessity. 3 out of 5 stars

When my old erin roc retired, I thought I'd try this. The erin was always getting in the way under roofs and such and his looked like it had a lower profile.
Only problen is,no matter how I adjust it, unless I wear a beanie-hat it slides all over my head. Not a big problem as I live in the north of england and it's pretty much always cold, so I keep a 'liner hat' inside it!

Got a set last year.. 4 out of 5 stars

I'd always used wild country wires as my first set and recently zero-G's (about half the price as WC's and more than adequate) as a second, but when I came to retire a handful of each last year, I went to my local wall (big shop) and was encouraged to get these instead on the grounds that they were far and away the easiest to place.
They were (at the time) 20 more expensive than a set of wild countrys.
They were also absolubtly worth every penny!
The ease of both placement and clearing in comparison to the WC rocks was clear enough on the first climb I used them on. Brilliant and hold a fall like a champ! They also practically feather-weight!
They're now always my 'go to first'

Oh god the smell!! 3 out of 5 stars

Seriously... My wife nearly left me over these! My feet sweat as much as the next mans but never have I had a pair of shoes that smell as bad as these!!

On a plus point... They are fairly ok. They're soft (not a stiff edge-er in my opinion) and for a nice days cragging and for the price... I'd trade them for a pair of Boreal Jokers.
Not bad, not great and smell awful!!

Super sticky.
Fantasic edge.
Great fit (for my wide-foot) a half size down.
Minor issue with the height at the back of the heel straight out the box, but it did (like the guy in the shop said it would) soften up.
I use these for all-day circuit bouldering and they're fantasic! Although, I carry a small piece of carpet in the crash pad to clean them.

It's amazing, feeding rope (either in or out) is always, always smooth.
The 'auto-brake' in reverso mode actually works,
You can (and I have) safely bring up 2 climbers whether you're a part of the system or not and is great for absailing down.
