Reassuring Rope

Great rope for anybody requiring assurance, beginners or monster rack bearers. Thick, chunky and keeps going. I will be buying a second rope soon and yet another of these ropes is a hot contender for my money. The 11mm width is very reassuring in a grigri, especially when all you can hear is your belayer trying to pick up the girl at the next belay station. Only downside is the weight, but what would expect from such a workhorse.

Ballnutz work, but too well

Great little piece of pro that fits where many things won't, but they can be difficult to clean if you weight them and the thing cable doesn't inspire confidence. Having said that, I will be buying more.

Good helmet. Light and secure. Mine fits well, but some people don't find it comfortable. The big downside is that the foam insert can easily become detached just from bumping around in a bag on the walk in, even when packed "safely" with lots of padding.

Great device. I always back up my rappels with this. You can use it to help when ascending. I haven't had to mess around with a prussik in years.
