Don't own any non-lockers besides neutrinos (aside from racking biners) and don't see a reason to. A little smaller than most so you might have trouble clipping the rope at first, but well worth the "weight."

Great pad, very durable and has held up well. I give it a 4 because when choosing whether to land on it or my buddy's metolius pad, I aim for the metolius. I just prefer the way it feels, but the Highlander still does fine.

I give them a five because they do great at what the claim to be made for. Got them on sale for $100 and have no regrets. Hiked and skied in them in Alaska for a month on glaciers and were good and comfy. Done some vertical ice in them and while I'm sure they don't perform as well as a leather, did fine for me.

Absolutely a superb shoe. A bit painful at first, but they stretch after being climbed in a bit. Like any high performing shoe not something you want to wear all day, but they aren't bad enough that your feet will be screaming.
