I loved the grippy sole, but the quality leaves a lot to be desired. My first pair started delaminating after a few weeks of light wear. i returned them to 5.10 and they replaced them. Now, I am returning a second pair after a month of light wear. They should be more durable. I'm requesting a pair of 5.10 tennies instead. I hope they last longer than the mountain master.

Being new to climbing, it was only at the end of 2004 that i actually wore through a pair of climbing shoes. My favorite pair of 5.10 mocs had worn out and there was a hole in the rand of the left shoe.

I sent them to Yosemite Bum for a resole. The turn around time was about ten days. The resoling job was great. The shoes looked brand new. They even fixed my shoddy glue job on the heel where the rubber was coming apart. I like the trax rubber, even more so than the stealth rubber that 5.10 uses.

The price is decent and like others have stated, they offer discounts to students and bum.

don't hesitate to send your old favorites to Yosemite Bum. It will be like getting a brand new pair of shoes!!!

This is the third harness i haved purchased during my relatively short time as a climber. My first harness was a non-adjustable women's specific model from Singing Rock, the second was the unisex Trilogy from REI and now the Primrose from Black Diamond. I finally got the fit i was looking for. The adjustable legs are great and provide a better fit than my Singing Rock. The padding is better than the Trilogy and the gear loops are larger than the ones on both the other harnesses. I paid 42 bucks cdn.......great deal. I would have saved some bucks if i had bought this harness in the first place. My only problem is that the leg loops are still a tad loose when totally cinched. It won't be a problem in cold weather.

A comfortable shoe, suitable for sport climbing. Slingshot heel helps keep heel in place. good ventilation. Not a beginner shoe because of downturned toe, not an all day shoe either. The rubber is respectable, but not outstanding. I bought them a tad too small, didn't stretch out as much as i thought they would. Should have only downsized one size.

I've been climbing in these shoes for a month, and i love them. I bought them specifically for an all day, multipitch trad shoe. The rubber is good (comparable to the stealth).

They edge well and smear well too. My only problem with them is that they don't tighten enough around my heel.....but then i'm used to a slingshot heel in my mocs and baras.
