I picked up this rope from Acme in their top rope package. It seems to be a nice rope in the four times I've used it. It's alot stiffer than the Lanex my friend got. It's a good stiff though. The ends appear shrunk for better knot tying. I haven't found anything about it I don't like, and for the price it can't be beat

Just picked up some of the Lightweight wire gates and was amazed. Great price, easy clips, really lightweight. Trango should offer a longer version as well.

Great belay biner. However, as soon as the anodization wore off I noticed a crack in it. I took it back to REI and the clerk said he'd never seen that before so that's a good sign. These are a great biner but check for design flaws. The off set gate works nicely but the nose catches on the belay device keeper wire all the time.

Great for setting anchors with. The nose hooks on hangers sometimes but that's what the Positron is for I guess. You pay more for features. These are lightweight easy to use, and have a very smooth gate. Buy 6!

If someone gives this harness a bad rating based on their experience rock climbing, ignore them. This harness is designed for mountaineering, which it excels at. The drop seat is great for doing business, and the gear loops hold all the runners and biners you need. Padding would be useless and make this harness bulky. Great alpine harness, not for sport climbing.

I'm still mourning the recent loss of my Pyramid. The only gripe I had was it didn't have the smooth feed that my B-52 does. It also didn't seem to like fast rappels quite as well. Overall a device I would recommend to anyone.

The B52 has a smooth feed and a bomber lockoff. If it stopped there it would still be a good device. But it autoblocks nicely too.

I picked on of these up when I found an odd crack in my Omega Pacific Jake. The keylock nose is so much easier to use. I haven't found anything I don't like about it yet so I'll give it a five. Nice job Petzl!
