Every time I climb in these I am amazed at how much better they edge than other shoes I've worn. I've climbing in them on sandstone, limestone, granite, and basalt thus far and they have excelled on each surface. The rubber is extremely "sticky" as is holding up quite well after 8 months of hard use.

I have been pretty happy with this pad. True, it could have a carpet pad to wipe your shoes off. It could also be a little thicker. However, for a pad around $100 I won't complain too much. For its price, its a steal.

I love this helmet. It's lightweight, fairly easy to adjust, and breathes well. The only improvement I feel it needs is a padded chin strap.

Great for short trips to the crag with a small amount of gear (won't quite hold a 60m rope, rack, harness, and climbing shoes). It keeps the load close enough to your center of gravity that you can comfortably rapel with it on.

If you don't have the cash for a full sized ascender or just don't want to carry the extra weight, this could be nice to have in a pinch. However, it's just not good for regular, everyday use.
