Great shot of a brilliant route. I don't recall the runout but was probably more focussed on the moves at the time.
this is 2 shots montaged together in photoshop
crazy perspective! looks good.
Great pose and composition. IMHO, it would look a lot better with the light on the climber instead of the top of the rock - it looks like the subject of the photo is where the light is shining. BUT... you cant tell the sun where to shine. Could have used some fill flash or something, but it looks like you werent close enough for that. You did the best you could with the conditions.
my 10 for today
I like it so much... I was thinking about the rate (5.13a)when it seems to have very nice holds... I have to be there(I wish)... where the climber is to know why right...! but I really like it... it inspires me to go out right now and climb... good job!
ironically the steepest parts of the routes at the cascade are usually the easiest, nevertheless the grades at this sector of the cliff are considered a tad light...my shots tend to emphasize rock architecture over whatever silly facial expression the climber happens to be making, I was dissapointed by the recent Climbing mag. photo issue for this reason
i'm guessing the part he is on now is mad steep? thus the part where the sun is shining is vertical and not slab, as it appears in the pic, right? great pic with great looking rock!
xanx - check out photo's taken from the side of climbs such as Blanche Fesse also at the Cascade sector at Ceuse. The wall further left of this climb is where Mirage goes. The middle section is over vertical with the wall kicking back steeper for the redpoint crux at the top.
WOW! I think that can qualify and a weee bit crazy. I love it!
