That is the easy part of the route, the other side of the ArÍte is wickedly overhanging with sick exposure.

It's water actually. It is a bit easier to tell when you view it larger.

Nice shot... not a local so no offence intended, but why isn't it a trad route? looks like there's some decent pro there. Cheers Adam

Decent pro? Um where?

its more of an overhung face route that swings around that arete at the top. Those "cracks" you see are just shallow grooves. probably wouldnt take gear

very good picture! But the climber is a bit to much in the middle of the frame.... 1/3 of rock, 2/3 of sky would look better in my opinion.

Sweet shot, but I'd like to see more rock and less blue stuff... whatever it is. Looks tough, show us more of this route bro.

It's also good ole Texas limestone. Not the best rock to place pro in. I have seen some trad climbers out there once though. There are a few corner crack climbs that can take pro, but that is about it, not many trad possibilities out there. This route also starts out overhanging on the other side of the arete. I don't think there are any groves on that side at all.

Fabe, I agree to an extent, I needed the climber closer to the 1/3 frame, but would have preferred more water, as it provides a clean background, but rock may have been nice too.

Kinz, it likely was, he was the FA for many of the routes out here and bolted most of them. I talked to the land owner a week after Forester's funeral and he sounded a little worried about what would happen to the crag. I'm not sure if Forester did the bolt maintenance or not, but I know he was still compiling the guide book.

I'm pretty sure it is a Jimmie route (rip). This is also probably the best photo I've ever seen from PoB. Right on!

Kinz, Jimmy and I bolted the route. He bolted and he let me get the FA. I think McCleery got the second ascent. Jimmy took a huge fall off of a hook. Scared the piss out of me.
