I love the shot, but why not clip from the truckedy hand jam instead of the heinous crimp?

Must be a Euro j_ung, they never stick there hands in the crack, we see it all the time at Frog Buttress. Perfectly good crack to climb and they choose to go for the teeny crimpers on the outside, wot up wid dat.

cool shot. Good point j_ung. #2 camalot = rest stance.

clip low instead of go a little higher for the bomb jam? it's a cool shot nonetheless. I like the older camalot with the oval biner combo.

I love the holds, he clips the rope while his left hand only hold small grip.

"Some people are scared of cracks."

And? Not exactly an attitude that's going to broaden your bag of tricks, is it?

Nice pic.

he looks high enough - look at the height of the other hand... he looks tired!

I was thinking exactly the same thing as j_ung... That cam is definitely not fixed and that crimp looks far worse than that beautiful hand jam.

i would love it if i could read the comments on these great shots without people throwing in their two cents on better cam placements, better holds, composition tips... enough already shut up, enjoy the shot and move on.

Here in Europe we don't have a lot of good cracks so people are not used to it. Makes your fingers strong ;)
