nice action. I especially like the fact that he is holding his breath. This would have been cool with a series of photos through the move...before, during and after the move, when he breathes again.

Amazing pic! Somehow I got a "Hang in there kitty!" image in my head from looking at this.

I would make a snarky comment about another boulderer in a red shirt, but frankly I have to give it to the photog this time. This is a really good angle and well composed shot. Nice use of the rule of 3rds. 5 stars.

Great shoot, love that you can still see his right foot barely touching the wall while he kicked out his left leg for the dyno. Great timing and you really can feel the movement.

I actually just stumbled upon this picture. Being a member of this site I thought that was pretty cool that I've actually seen this picture before.

Highest contrast is the chalk and fingers, then his left cheak. the diagonal composition of his body and the matts points right at the high contrast area. the contrast areas follow the same line in reverse (chalk and fingers, face, value change between matts and then finaly the ground). This is simply amazing composition to happen randomly, did you plan it all out or do you tend to just naturaly find good composition?

Another question, is the patch of green in the lower right PS'd in or real? It balances the green on the upper left so well and looks like it maybe possible was cloned from the bush. Awsome image, thank you for providing my new desktop.

@monkeyintraining: didn't plan out all the contrast things you pointed out; i think i just got lucky. as far as the patch of green, nothing ever gets cloned in or out (unless it's dust). thanks for the comments.
