Very nice, subtle picture
nice pic, looks like the coolest 5.6 of all time.
No but I'll definitely look for it there next week, thanks for the suggestion.
cool it made the front page, even if it's a tiny bit blurry.
Ojai, CA - about 1 1/2 hours from los angeles. I grew up there and never climbed or camped. Now I live in LA kicking myself for not taking advantage when I had the chance. Wheeler Gorge is perfect for a one day visit.
look how on the far left of the rock there is some black patina that looks like its imitating the climber's position in the photo, kinda neat.
This is actually my friend on White Rastafarian. I just put it to a different background from a pic I took on the same trip to Jtree, at the lookout at Keys View road. The lighting on each seemed to sync up pretty well, thanks for the comments.
Great shot. that rock looks awesome!
To me the blur is really distracting. otherwise, gorgeous setting.
I second how the land makes it look like a fish eye. really cool effect. awesome shot on all levels.
way cool, gotta love legos!
So fucking good, one of the coolest on the site.
nice expression...but is the place still open? or is this an older pic?
I liked the other one with the cool crashpad underneath better....but this is still cool.
cool shot looks like a really fun route!
cool looking formation
v4 my ass! hahahah
total sweetness...i wonder if it would have been better had the camera been lower to the ground...either way its a great shot
she's hot! 5 stars!
damn makes me wanna climb el cap soooooo bad!!!
Hey I've climbed that crack. Tried to put a line up on the face to the left using the seams, but no dice. Nice shot.
Um I don't think so, I think I'm on "Stu Boy" aka "Stuart's Rig" -5.11b
I hope it doesn't bite!
I just threw up a little in my mouth
I wish I could paint like that!
different, i likey
the water was extremely choppy, swimming back and getting back on land was the definite crux. The rock is really sharp. Just as someone was about to throw us the climbing rope a huge wave came a deposited us back on shore, very scary.
Yes it's shopped, obviously. I took all of 3 minutes to tweak levels and other things in a quick photoshop demo for my mom. I did a VERY sloppy job, but I just wanted her to see the types of things you can do with the program. I always had the idea that I'd go back and do it for real. But now I no longer have the original image, so this is all that remains. A quick, hack job on one of my best photos. ah well. Had I not uploaded a huge file size you woulda never known. :)
