Spectacular rock! have you considered cropping the left up to the edge of the lit rock?

4 out of 5 stars Nice. Great light and composition. 15mm?

4 out of 5 stars rwaltermyer: hard to use a larger f-stop (smaller aperture) with a lens that wide. f/8 is probably the sweet spot, I assume this is a 15mm? Anyway, again, I love this pic

I like this DOF, though better if the hail in the foreground were also sharp. Have any that shows his face? Nice job! I give it a 9

The texturing of the hand near the rock is due to jpeg compression, not photoshop. Its not Photoshopped, in my opinion. Why would it be? it looks casual.

I used a Nikon SB800 on a radio slave shooting up from inside the base of the chimney. Nikon D2X and 17-55mm f/2.8, 1/250 @f/8

5 out of 5 stars poomasta - I have done workshops through the Showcase School in Atlanta and through ASMP but not climbing ones. I'd be into it if there was enough interest.

Glad I could help. Someone asked, so there you go. Keep that towel handy.

@bman - im not sure where exactly you put in, its just a dock, no marina... a little past where Europa is I think. Across the river from the cliffs, you have to boat under a bridge to get there. No info about the routes, just climb. Mostly 5.11+. There is an easy scramble down.
