sorry, added a bunch of photos late at night-it certainly is trad.
the yellow sling is attached to a "beta placement"-a nut hidden out right of the climb behind a little flake
second granite_grrl-could do with more sharpness and a little bit more saturation. but awesome scene and really nice compostion...
sport climbing-read the area: "draw BOULDER problems"-must be a grade IV wall....
apparently i didn't look very hard-cause when i first glanced at this photo it looked like the mountains in the background were in fact water....now that i've seen the mountains, i can't see the water...almost like the duck rabbit...blask http://www.uic.edu/com/eye/LearningAboutVision/EyeSite/OpticalIllustions/DuckRabbit.shtml
why does every one want to see a color copy of pretty much EVERY b&w shot on this site?
b&w is usually a deliberate artistic/creative choice from the "norm" of color photography.... maybe you should ask "what does b&w bring that color doesn't?" instead of "why isn't this color?" you might learn something or perceive something new, aesthetically, about a place, climb, mood, etc
from this angle the arch looks kinda like Africa.....
things that make you go "mmmm"?
and lots of slack? yes
climber clipping? yes
ok and useful? hell yes
anyone know where that picture is?
i really like the pic----blown out background is a bit distracting, though....
cool shot, though it is a little overexposed and way too much negative space in this shot-----too much empty blue sky. if there were some rad clouds, a rainbow, sunset/rise, etc you might be able to get away with all that sky. but a washed out sky taking up more than 2/3 of the shot....
good composition, but the climber is blurry and the color is pretty blah----try a diff time of day and make sure your subject is in focus
on the thumbnail, it totally looks like you're naked! and it'd be a good title if you were....FREE!!!
this is definitely a great shot----i like the framing, the perspective, the moment. koodus on all that. but i have to say that it ain't perfect.....the highlights are a little blown out, and there is a fair amount of glare detracting from the overall aesthetics. overall though it is a great pic
very well done. nicely saturated, crisp, lots of great lines. overall great composition and great shot! congrats
are those alp butterflies or prussiks on the rope?
either way---what r they there for? definitely not a setup i know of, and i'm curious....
i think we might have a problem here.....
he only voted cause he's still convinced its his photo >.<
The egg's location must be obfiscated and hidden from all but the most dedicated searcher. It, by NO means, is at Mt. Lemmon, in Southern Arizona, in the US. And that info is DEFINITELY not just above your comment next to the words "photo location"
do we need a NSFW label? pretty sure i see more than skin...ps, funny screen name given the photo posted...
