0 out of 5 stars Where is this located with respect to Dali Dome and Christmas Tree Pass Road?

I should probably rotate this image a few degrees. It's actually quite a bit steeper than it appears. I took the photo from above hanging out like a bat. And, I remember that the camera was rotated a few degrees the wrong way. makes it look like 5.6. Andy Solow

This is what it really looks like. So, watch your camera orientation. ALS

This topo map won't be useful unless it is posted as a high resolution image

Dear Editors, can you please increase the resolution on this photo? It would really help the people who are climbing in this area if they had a decent map. The picture as posted does not have adequate resolution to see all of the topographic detail necessary to navigate in a place like this.
Thanks, Andy Solow

5 out of 5 stars The other thing that you young folks may not have figured out yet: CTP has at least 30 domes as big or bigger than this one. The potential of this area is huge; but unfortunately, so are the approaches to the domes. Check out the USGS composite topo I posted on this site.

5 out of 5 stars When Dick Richardson and I tried this thing in the 1970's,
we couldn't stand there and drill, so we just gave up.
But, I'm glad that Manny got it done, even if he did have to pre-place some of the pro.
We called our failed attempt close encounters because I almost got killed on this thing leading with a batch of defective//brittle bolt hangers.
