View this Photo
the vingetting is appalling

View this Photo
who needs flexiability when you have JEANS !

View this Photo
too much effect, was this for an ad?

View this Photo
foreground rocks are distracting

View this Photo
2 out of 5 stars stupid.. just plain.. maybe it would be cooler if it were harder then a easy pole i've climbed 1000 times myself

View this Photo
nice PP :)

View this Photo
why is this b&w? it should be bright orange and deep blue, i would have liked this in color, imho. still good but different

View this Photo

View this Photo
3 out of 5 stars I see why this is called 'pucker face' ;)

View this Photo
but it looks cool, right? ;)

View this Photo
(pull down like de jesus)this is a v4+ in the secrets guide, feels like a v3 ;) height dependant though, i'm ~6'

View this Photo
5 out of 5 stars cragb : this is a perspective shot, i posted a few other shots of him on this boulder problem...

View this Photo
chris : you talking about brian (aka. dude)?.. I heard about that.. what a crazy F'er..

View this Photo
yah, DOF is almost too distracting..

View this Photo
highexposure link is too distracting, un-natural skin tone.. good composition though

View this Photo
If you do it for yourself, why are you spraying about it on rc.com? hypocritical much?

View this Photo
3 out of 5 stars nice shot, good color, his face is a little blownout

View this Photo
1 out of 5 stars yah color is horrid

View this Photo
3 out of 5 stars lost a lot of detail in the highlights, the background and climber are exposed well ;) but great shot, maybe nearer sunrise/sunset is the time to shoot this

View this Photo
this is ORG, ethic is bolted climbs

View this Photo
classic 'overhang rock' shot

View this Photo
only a woman could perform that move ;)

View this Photo
don't worry, I'll be out there soon to setup some lines ;)

View this Photo
There is also a problem that starts just left of tree on the bannana and heads up and right to the horn right of the tree

View this Photo
mmm. looks... chalky?

View this Photo
yotes are like vultures in Josh

View this Photo
yotes are like vultures in Josh

View this Photo
dof just distracts from the subject.. you keep wanting to look at the rock and not the climber

View this Photo
3 out of 5 stars i like this photo a lot espically the rock texture

View this Photo
haha nice, do you clip that piton?

View this Photo

View this Photo
crocs and evolv are in style in mexico? ;)

View this Photo
confirmed, tide dependant ;)

View this Photo
is that lightning or a 10,000w bulb?

View this Photo
3 out of 5 stars critique ; the lighting is too artificial, its like there is some nice low soft light, but then you use the flash and its like 'blam, white light' the lighting does not flow well between flash and natural light. also does not show enough of the enviroment for a photo that could include some background/foreground interest

still a decent photo though.

View this Photo
3 out of 5 stars coastal : photoshop is a tool, just like a hammer.. it can be used to kill someone, or build a house.. it all depends on how you use it and your intended purpose.

View this Photo
looks like a cool bloc

View this Photo
yup, I'd like to climb with her :)

View this Photo
since when is climbing 'kid' and 'adult' sized.. i know young kids that crank hard on anything.. climbing has no age/sex/race bounderies.

View this Photo
lots of yos bouldering development going on now :) problem looks sick...

View this Photo
thats a hot bunch of climbers there !

View this Photo
wow, that boulder has some awesome possibilities.

5 out of 5 stars thanks :) i work up at 6am in 10* temps and drove all over the milks to find this shot

View this Photo
where is your face?

View this Photo
it is definitely a great side, but thats your best side? ;)

View this Photo
5 out of 5 stars nice, I don't think anyone has got on or sent this in a long time, did he onsight the whole route?

bachar-yerian is a notoriously run out route with 50+ foot runout sections and full pitches with only 2 bolts

View this Photo
5 out of 5 stars I was watching the moon all night long to get the timing right because I knew it would be setting somewhere near that spot and I could get a decent shot from the milks, I actually drove all the way up to the buttermilks to find out that I couldn't see the moon, so I had to drive back out to find an appropriate spot :)

View this Photo
5 out of 5 stars thats Mt. Basin & Mt. Tom

View this Photo
5 out of 5 stars no this is a single exposure.. I used a Neutral Density Filter on the lens to adjust the exposure of the foreground

View this Photo
5 out of 5 stars nice shot karl, I love the placement of the reflection with the leaves surrounding it.

View this Photo
5 out of 5 stars yup off i-395 near Mono Lake, I'm not going to divulge the actual road because I do not want anyone to bother the 'locals', or get shot by them ;)

View this Photo
4 out of 5 stars elephant rock rocks ;)

View this Photo
5 out of 5 stars superbum : regardless of income level, some people do not want others encroaching on their 'property', the eastside is a little more wild than the more populated areas so I would not have been surprised if someone came out with a shotgun asking what I was doing in their area. I have encroached illegally on property for other photos and there IS risk involved with some locations as is with climbing; some areas are sensitive, some are not. some areas are cool to bring the dog and family, some you need to sneak into and worry about someone coming out with a gun :) I'm poor too, so I could care less about income, I drove up in a beater ass pickup and lived the whole week on $60

Monkey : I'll have to lookup all the specifics of the shot, but it was probably something like 200iso f16/1s. I shot it with a D50, 18-55mm lens and a 2 stop soft NDF filter.

View this Photo
5 out of 5 stars well, the exposure time on this was something like .7 - 1.0 seconds with the lack of blur on the clouds and they were moving at a decent speed.

and yup, I use a tripod for majority of my nature/landscape shots, even if its not needed for the shutter speed, it slows down the composure and allows a much more thoughtful photograph (espically in the digital age of shooting a million pictures)
