Actually the venom is similar in toxicity to a diamondback, but they inject it through chewing on you, so it's hard to get a lot (although they are tenacious and hard to get off once they bite). Any bite from a Gila Monster should be considered a life-threatening emergency. Roughster, it's not just un-PC, it's illegal to collect (or kill) wild Gila Monsters in all states in which they occur.

Hey Kris - I replaced/moved the anchor 5 years ago - Randy Leavitt asked me to move it 6' left and said he had been worried for a long time that someone would rip the manky anchor at the crack (the 1/4" bolt was super-short, only 3/4"-1" in the rock, backed up with 0 TCU or tiny nuts). I had contacted him about some other replacement and hadn't been planning on working on Atlantis. Greg

That's Spark Plug 5.10b (and also the start for Cutting Edge 5.11). We replaced the 1/4" bolt anchor a couple years ago. You can just barely rap (a bit to the left) with a single 60m (route is 110' or so, don't try to lower). While the FA is supposedly Paul Van Betten & Sal Mamusia '83, the bolts had JU hangers, so looks like the FA was probably the Uriostes, with Paul & Sal bagging the FFA.

Actually the guy down left is on Trade Winds, Scirocco is about 15' left.

The name is sarcastic, not deceptive. And the route used to be rated 5.10b.
