um, girth hitched dynemma? when you fall off that well known, steep section of stone mtn, that smooth metal ring is going to cut that sling right in half. At least when you fall you wont scrape the rock on the way down.
I love the contrast between the rock and the blue shirt/halter thing. The shadow on the arm really makes the photo "Snap!" Is that a shadow between the shirt and the skin? Gives the photo a real feeling of depth. That blurryness in the eyes might detract from the image if the rock behind wasnt so overexposed. Is that rock behind the figure, or is it one of those drop cloths that professional photogs use behind highschoolers for yearbook pics? The equiviocality is KILLING me.
isn't there a blue jeep near here...down at the bottom...upside down. I can just imagine the last few seconds. "little gaassss. liiitttttle gaaaassss, BRAKE! SHHHHIIIIITTTTtttttt [crunch.]
Those colors are for real? Amazing
I disagree with the request for a colored shirt, because with the white one, the climber seems a part of the environment and not dominating it.
Looks 3D. Great pic.
Though I might steal it and put a big "FAIL" across the top. No disrespect. The climber's got balls, but it is too much to pass up.
I posted my "fail" version here. http://www.rockclimbing.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?do=post_attachment;postatt_id=2311;
nah. No eyebrows and too many pines in the background. Tho it do look like a pluton.
Teh pic sucks, but the caption is classic.
um, that looks a lot like the girl climbing in Kauai from yesterday. How'd she get back to the mainland so quick and why is she wearing the same bikini?
Looks like something out of the land of the lost. quite interesting!
As for the 'choppin': A close look at far right where the rock in the foreground crosses the horizon shows a blueish hue below the horizon line. This seems suspect. the line between the main massif and the water also looks suspect, particularly at the far right. Also note a polygonal line just above the right waterline that seems to bisect light rock below and dark rock above.
This doesn't make it a bad pic. Just chopped.
"My driveway looks steeper."
That is what I would say if I were a complete ass
Quite frankly, I desperately wish I were there.
