4 out of 5 stars not sure i agree dude...the picture shows Larry going down on his knee on a slackline. at least thats what i see. going down on ones knee on a slackline invloves skill. therefore, a picture of larry, going down on his knee, on a slackline, shows the skill. does it not? - heh whatever not taking sides here - nice pic turtle - rock on

the wonders of engineering is right!! this is truly an amazing sight to see - it is actually alot deeper then this pic shows...the top of the bridge is 876 feet off the ragging waters of the New River and the bridge length is just short of a mile meausing in at 4,224 feet. By raging waters i mean class 5 rapids - that was the day before we climbed at this spot
Anyway, yes, its too deep to rap down and too long to higline or rope swing but on the third Saturday of October, they close the bridge for a celebration known as Bridge Day which includes the opportunity to go BASE jumping. They have prohibitted bungee jumping over the gorge. For more info and pics, click here

I was climbing down on the lower walls because it was too crowded on the main walls and found myself talking to the party on a rope next to me, Ted (a local man involved in the access issues with the township) who explained that they have had great success with climbing access from the township. As far as I know it is not an issue. Thanks for keeping an eye out though..
