clausti: Not sure why it's pointy, but it's not my leg bone (what you would consider your outer ankle bone), it's actually a bone normally hidden inside the ankle area. kalcario: I'm actually sitting on TWO crash pads. reno: All 4 surgeries went fine and PT is going VERY slowly (due to the severity of the fracture). crimpman: The line hasn't worked as well as I'd have like picking up chicks, but I haven't been so blatant about it. haha.. rvega: I didn't break any major blood vessels, only a few in the skin, so it bleed only a slight amount. But, for more gore... notice the blood on my sleeve from my bloody nose I got as my head hit the ground as I crumpled.

constructiblepoint: Dude, I'm not a doctor; I have no idea why blood wasn't gushing out. In fact, I'm quite happy it wasn't. If you look closely below the foot, you can see a few drops of blood on the crash pad. But if you'd like proof, http://www.onlineclimbing.com/stephen/brokenankle.asp

2 out of 5 stars I'm glad it's not just me that thinks it's absurd that there are bolts within arm's reach of a fatty cam eatin' crack. Geeze...
