Nice! Did you work the double knee-bar rest?
How bad was the rope drag?
8.44??? You've got to be kidding me. The pic is out of focus and the composition is boring. But still it's a great climb and a nice lead. How does one vote on a photo? I can't seem to find a way to do that.
nice saturated colors
Awesome colors and composition
Reminds me of the Sierra. Nice.

This looks posed.
Nice shot of a nasty looking slog. I like the perspective and the colors on the climbers highlight the drab rock in that flat light.
As 49er said, there's a lot of black. Fill flash might help here.
Thanks for the praise guys. Pete, I bet you could only get that light for a few days per year. I just got lucky enough to be there. The color was awesome, orange spotlight around cold blue granite.
As far as f-stop goes, I think I was just trying to get enough light to hand hold the shot at full zoom, so probably wide open as this was taken with 50ASA Velvia. Handholding explaines the blurs, as the camera certainly did move during the exposure, but alas I had no tripod.
Killer crack. I love the kneebar. The photo might benefit from cropping out the junk on the right so that the focus is on the architecture. BTW, you can get rid of hair using th rubber stamp tool in photoshop.
Long live Burroughs.
Out of curiousity, did you up the saturation on this in post-processing?
Yeah man! Good blue-collar climbing there!
Damn, you brits are pale!
the scan looks washed out. did you go from print or negative?
reminds me of an etching
8 - Nice sense of scale. The photo suffers from being a bit washed out and lacking interest in the upper third.
thanks for sharing it, homie!
kinda depends on where his last piece is, doesn't it?
You may have gone a bit too far with the green. Skin tone looks unnatural. Maybe it's my monitor.
yeah baby, i'm getting horny
Nice tension there as they guy in yellow holds on with one finger while the dude in the back grabs him for safety. Very tenuous! This photo makes my palms sweat.
And they said mullets were out of style. Pfffttt.
Nice job. I particularly like the outstretched fingers of the left hand.
just awesome. i love the detail on the sole of the shoe. best slackline photo ever.
crisp. good contrast. nice body position. 10
nice. how big are those walls?
what's the splitter to the right?
Beautiful shot Karl. Best shot I've seen of Dhaulagiri. What aspect is this?
Somewhat cliched, but still pleasing.
I doubt it's Mt. Tom. Looks like a view to the south, but more importantly, DID YOU SEE WHAT THAT CHICK IS DOING?
This chick could crap on her own head!
Holy oversaturation batman.
i love the dead snag in the foreground. very nice.
Nice shot. Is it the scan, or does this deserve to be submitted in higher res? A bit grainy at full size.
Juanjo - the bolts on Double Cross are only in place from February to April.
Hey all, thanks for all the kind words. Next weekend we're off to practice hooking on Gunsmoke. I think we'll get a bomber hanging belay in the corner.
interesting perspective. the colors look a little 'off', but maybe it's the light. what type of film were you using?
We have liftoff
captain, you are cleared for take off
that ice looks fantastic
good slab shot. friends don't let friends.....
fantastic saturation. what film are you using?
really nice for a butt shot. very well exposed.
nice shot. looks like fun.
If the chimney pitch is p5, then she's cleaning p8. Or at least that's how I remember it. It was a while ago.
This is the best damn pic on this website.
BOLD. Crimp mutherfecker, crimp.
It seems like every time we have a long weekend, there's a 30% chance of weather. If you go with those odds long enough.....
man against the mountain. nice.
karl, do you know anything about the sweet looking wall in the background?
This picture goes to show that good photographers don't need to be in a stunning locale to create a great photo. Very nice job crafting a beautiful pic in a place like Dixon!
looks like she's ready for a big order of salty fries
Beta testing a new line of Patagucci Schoeller umbrellas?
Finally we see the legendary Angus/Burl
Your stuff keeps getting better and better.
the beer is in the camelbak.
My fav. Sierra peak. Nice pic. Thanks.
do you remember the f-stop/asa/shutter speed?
awesome if handheld, and no star tracks. 30 secs?
painterly and stunning

You couldn't possibly have a worse anchor setup.
i'd guess she's 200 feet off the deck. this is the 3rd pitch.
neat dike. his cheeks are about to pop.
There's something really pleasing about the proportions of this photo. Nice job.
nice looking ice line there
teenie-weenie Casio EX-Z3 in macro mode. I think this is just the green channel displayed as greyscale and photochopped for brighntess, contrast, and sharpness.
That seam would look better with a few boxed-out pinscars.
one of the better bouldering shots on this blog
Keep bringing the mountain shots!
more mountain photos!!!
Looking around the garage in horror..... Where's my #5 Camalot.... It's just a bad dream, dear.
Looks steep. More than 60 degrees? Always nice to see ice starting to peak through. Probably a few more months to go down in these parts.
Are the jaggies at the snow vs. sky line artifacts of compression/resizing, or from the camera?
what does that buttress go at?
is that the dolphin?
Exceptionally beautiful and vile all at once.
I think I've seen this striking wall from the 395. I must go climb it. Is it in the bighorn restricted area?
Where does the route go?
Thanks to all for the nice words. Yes, this image has been manipulated in photoshop to blur the background and create an artificial depth of field. It's my second attempt at this trick, so be kind. I thought that the background in the orginal image distracted my eye from the real subject. BVB - hanging from the anchors and way off to the side to keep my shadow out of the frame.
Really sweet shot. When does that pitch dry out?
Gaydar - I don't bother carrying around a heavy SLR with manual controls after picking up a digital smaller than a pack of cigarettes, so I manipulate the image afterwards to get the desired effect. Cheers.
The bolted slab pitch?
classic pitch. too bad i can't freeclimb.
what's up with the gloves?
Wow. Way better without the lossy compression.
Cute! CS, this one looks quite pixelated on my monitor.
with ps you could turn down the brightness on all but the crack. takes some time though.
I'm not sure if I scanned this in backwards. Should the Luxor be on the right? It's been a while.
I haven't voted on a photo in months, but this one got me to click. The colors are sooooo outrageous. 10!!!!
Great looking climb.
Fun pitch, great pic!!
Very pixelated on my monitor
It's quite a bit harder than Generic Crack, probably as hard if not harder than Incredible Handcrack, and about as hard as Supercrack if your hands are the same size as mine.
Great shot with lots of feeling. Looks like someone toproping "The Bong".
Beautiful shot Jestress, and Merrick yours are great as well!
Nice looking crack, but crop that foot!
Very nice shot.
Alpine FA pics! Need more of those. Nice shot and nice job.
Not particularly sharp, J.
Nice colors and framing.
This image has too much digital sharpening for my taste and the colors are kind of blown out.
you're climbing a portobello?
Nice shot PBJ! Go Carol! Looks like I missed out on a great weekend.
Looks like Bababooey
Beautiful shot. The perspective is original, and I can almost feel the chill of a fall evening through the monitor.
Great shot Tim. I take it this is right around sunset?
Awesome shots Nathan. I think this is the best of the lot because of her eye.
Awesome shot. I love long exposures. Might I ask how long? If the camera was pointed towards Palm Springs, light pollution is a possibility.
yes. wheres the spoter!!!!!!!
is that the ground 6" below?
There's so much to like about this pic. 10
Nice pic. This is real climbing.
That's what it's all about!!!
My condolonces to all who live in New England.
Is that near "A Woman's Work is Never Done"?
That's really spectacular. A rare 10.
