Ugh. Me thinks the cable ties would cut into the cord. And that would be no good. Just tie together with a double fisherman, and your cares will be forgotten.
Very Nice. Makes me want to climb that route.
For me, I would be concerned about the loading of biners rigged like that. They would be subject twisting and bending if clipped to a bolt like that. But on that cam with the purple sling is not as bad.
Otherwise, its been years and I need to get out on classic open book climbs like this. Looks like fun. Don
Not trying to get on anybody's case for doing this. I know it has been done. Some were concerned of the biners unclipping, but I was just saying that the biners would subject twisting and bending loading. Espesially on bolt. Which is not the way they are designed. Just food for thought.
I agree, great looking climb. I need to find a good book climb for steming and liebacking. Don
Hey, thats me climbing down near the benches. Don
You had me fooled for a sec with that one. Cool.
Check out the old school shoes as well....
wild, a frozen wave of water.
Actually a very cool picture, good use of all colors. I like the way the composition is balanced. The reaching to place the cam makes it come alive. As such it is really not a still life, but an action shot. Sure I can't see where that cam is going, but the climber is focused on it and seams to know exactly what he wants to do with it.
Photographer gets an A+ for timimg and framing. Don
Wow 20 meters to the first bolt. And the rock doesn't look like it takes trad pro real well, although the route is hidden from view. And the rock bulges out. Impressive climbing guys. Don
Great photo of ElCap. Perfect
Yes, this is galvanic corrosion. The carbon steel hanger is rusting faster than normal, and protecting the Stainless bolt from rust. Same reason boaters put zinc coatings and small zinc blocks on their Stainless gear. The zinc rusts out to protect the stainless. Its what climbers should start adding to their bolts/hangers, a small zinc anode.
I guess we know now why Tuolumne is famous for its runnout routes............
Another nice photo, Don
Everyone Step Away from the Rock....
Where is that, and what does it go at? And what is that thin fin next to the river bank?
Every 10 feet is good. That pitch and climbing looks sustained. So you're looking at a 20 foot leader fall if you were to fall while trying to place a piece. More than long enough for me.
Nice Pic. That is one epic piece of rock.
Nice photo. Love the texture study, the colors, and the conposition. Well done. Don
Way too funny. To top it off, someone trying to rap off. Great photo, great laugh.
Nice photo, amazing ice. Even though I don't do ice, that looks like a great climb. I like the photos you've posted, lots of good work and use of light. I take it T/S is telescope. Post up some more.
Wow thats a lot of bolts, but if they are all clipped the rope drag is going to be huge.
Nice job!!! Good kid's harness and helmet.
I got my 6 yo up his first 100 foot pitch last month, and I must have been smiling about the same as you guys.
Way to go Sophie. You rock.
Hey good idea. Turn the kids room into a climbing gym. I like. The kids will like it. The wife....????
Excelent image. I like the composition and colors. The climbers location and body postion make it and excelent climbing photo. Looks in focus to me, perhaps the climber was in motion and the shutter speed a tad slow?
I like it, very well done. Don
I love this photo. I could climb like that all day. The 5.10 roof at the bottom, no, but the huecos, love em.
I take it that the route is not as verticle as the photo makes it appear?
Way to go Christine.
I found lowering my 6yo boy went well by just letting him kind of down climb under full tension. He also climbed up under full tension. With kids, go with what ever works.
Cool climbing on the beach.
Since everyone liked this one, check out
Why in the name of all that is holy and good would want to post that?
But I just lost my lunch.
whip on it!!! Its truck
The dark cartoon villain is sometimes refered to as the Dark Angel.
Me go, me go now.
Well maybe if you would stand up straight instead of leanig against the rock wall. PS'd for sure look at all the bushes.
Very good profile pic, D
It made the FP!
Good photo and very Funny.
Tradrenn says "take off belay" and I'm like what??? So he's grinning ear to ear, clipped in to a peice. and wants a photo.
Nice job on the lead. Don
Yes, Scuba dot Com here we are
Five stars for the mad climbing skills, stemming the exercize machine and the dresser. As well as staying up past your bedtime to 9 pm.
Hey that wall full of photos looks like my mother in laws [crazy]
Five more stars if you throw a rock and hit Lazlo's truck from up there.
Five stars for rocking with Lazlo in the cold.
The real question is, how is he holding on to the rope, while he's holding the camera to take the photo???
Eagles a pretty good at fishing. Circling up high, got their eye on the strike, dive in , grab the victim, and off they go...
Poor fish never had a chance.
Just playing around??? Your 15-20 feet off the deck!!! Lazlo, get her on the sharp end. Do it now.
Hey Laz, you forgot to give her 5 stars. Do It Now!!!111 onety eleventy two. Rock On.
Impressive rock face.
