If this was near me in the Midwest, it would have its own state park and climbers would drive hours to stand in line for a climb

Even if you don't like rockclimbing, this photo is the definition of a 10. Human drama, raw beauty of nature

View this Photo
Yeah, the team that tried the funnel has been hanging out at the base ever since ;) Wow.

Are those elf shoes? What's his right hand grabbing

Darn it all Micah, you've got to quit torturing me with these photos!! I have got to get back up to Alaska.

- Stuck in Michigan

Nice pic. A little dark but it captures the mood. It's beyond comprehension to me that this photo is getting low 8's average, while "Suzy Q. poses on boulder again" gets low 9's

I hope you get distributor pricing with all you buy?

If it embarrasses you, feel free to send it to us here in the midwest, we'll worship it :)

Uh, you didn't happen to play with the saturation on this photo, did you? It's permanently burned into my monitor now ;)

A site called rockclimbing.com has some info in the routes page. Foraker is for experienced, self sufficient mountaineers only..if you have to ask, you're not ready

That pile of chalk might be a clue where the next hold is...

Looks like the rope is already coming tight, and he's a long ways off the deck. How did he end up only 1 meter off the ground again?

View this Photo
4 out of 5 stars I like it. Two climbers, a rope, and a nasty rock. Simple and clean. But man I hate slopers, I feel weak just looking at it.

4 out of 5 stars Nice DOF.

5 out of 5 stars I have a love/hate relationship with this photo. I love the composition and how it pulls you in and makes you feel like you're there, but I hate how much it makes me realize I'm NOT there and probably won't be anytime soon :( A solid 10, best photo on this site in a while

nice camo

5 out of 5 stars Great pic, feels like I'm there. Elvis, great comment, especially the Subaru part :). Who are all these folks that are so surprised that Idaho has mountains??? Ever look at a map?

View this Photo
sidepull, do you pack out yer crap? If not maybe *you* should stay out of the mountains too ;) overheard: bark! bark! "What's that Lassie? Timmy is trapped in an avalanche on the other side of the lake?!"

5 out of 5 stars I got tendonitis just looking at this photo. Nice.

4 out of 5 stars I think it's great. Nice to see something different.

This is what climbing is all about IMHO

View this Photo
3 out of 5 stars Photo is way too dark. Am I the only one who thinks pre hanging draws is bogus? Not to take anything away from this climber, I couldn't touch this

View this Photo
too much blur, too much chalk, too dark

View this Photo
12dR wow I'm truly impressed.

4 out of 5 stars nice job

4 out of 5 stars I like the lighting. Not every photo has to be a sunshiny day with Betty on a hard sport toute

3 out of 5 stars I bet ice climbers would disagree. Then again, they're not sane.

4 out of 5 stars Let me be the first to say - hi res please!

View this Photo
4 out of 5 stars Gotta love the standards around here. Guy doing FA of 5.12R trad and everyone makes fun of his clothes. Some chick climbs 5.12 overbolted sport in a tank top for the 50th time and everyone says what a great photo it is. I like the hat, it takes guts to be an individual. Rock on!

View this Photo
Reminds me of the X-Files where the guy was half lizard half man and could climb on the ceiling.

View this Photo
3 out of 5 stars Tones look a little saturated. URL annoying. 7

View this Photo
2 out of 5 stars The very first thing I thought when I saw this was whoa, back off on the saturation. I doubt that's what you were going for. Tone it down and resubmit :)

Nice. East Butress is the first place I ever climbed.

kinda surreal, looks like a movie set 4/5

View this Photo
4 out of 5 stars Nice pic. I wouldn't touch that formation with a 10 foot ice ax, looks like it's just waiting to collapse on someone.

View this Photo
how many pitches? Click on the climb name and note that it sez "4 QD's + anchor", or note that it's in Illinois, and you'll realize it's single pitch.

Muy bonita! I've been to Saltillo twice (not climbing) and recognized this photo as being from that area right away! Beautiful area and wonderful people!

I've seriously seen better gym climbing shots...there are some lonely, desparate climbers out there giving this 4 or 5 stars.

5 out of 5 stars Not to be a nerd (too late), but based on a density of 2.75g/cc, the totem pole would weigh in the neighborhood of 6-7 million lbs. I don't think even a 250 lb climb will topple it any time soon....

View this Photo
5 out of 5 stars 5 stars for the hideous dyno and what appear to be blue jeans.

View this Photo
Why does a boulder problem have chains?

View this Photo
2 out of 5 stars Top roping...grey rock...grey sky..can't see climber's face....oh, but it's a girl.....5 stars!
Here's a clue guys, no one has ever gotten a date by stalking photos and giving out stars and crude "compliments"

View this Photo
1 out of 5 stars horizon is tilted, I don't see any climbing?

5 out of 5 stars finally, a pic worthy of the front page

Great pic. I've seen goats, white of course, in the mountains of Alaska like this, and I'm jealous how they can scramble up a 60 degree slope as fast as I jog on flat ground!

Ignore the "photoshop" haters!

4 out of 5 stars For once, a picture of a female subject posing that I can appreciate. Something really neat about the absurdity of bouldering in a nice gown, and the color is striking

View this Photo
Nice work. Summer 2011 can't come soon enough!

View this Photo
4 out of 5 stars Little bit too much saturation, and the tree is too distracting, otherwise great photo.

View this Photo
3 out of 5 stars I was drawn to this like a moth to a flame cuz I love Alaska. But aside from a thin argument that the Stellar Sea Lions are climbing, not sure the relevance here....cruisepics.com? I know it's hard to get good pics in that envrionment, but this is really washed out. I have some pics of Kenai Fjords I took with a point and shoot that are far better, check your settings...I remember one time in PWS watching the adults flop around in a roookery, they'd bowl over and smash the pups with total disregard, and the pups would object quite noisily...very entertaining. Anywho......

2 out of 5 stars So sick of this photo...not a bad pic per se, but 5 stars? I'm sure clausti is a very nice person, but she's average looking at best. Nothing wrong with that, but holy big fish in small pond. Lots of lonely climbers.....give it a rest guys.
